So nice to have Pedro, Adam, Iain and Lee out to my deck on a lovely summer evening. I asked Lee to make a snack run, and he arrived laden with an immense feast. That's the way, uh huh, uh huh, Lee DOES it.
The occasion was conceived as a farewell to Bro. Ken Sparks (who is off to Houston this weekend) but Ken was just too busy to make it. I hope everyone who reads this makes a point of saying goodbye to Ken personally, as I know Exemplar will miss him. His phone is 232-4703.
I invited Russ Lenes out, but he and Brandy have just had another little girl (late in June) so he literally had his arms full when we spoke. Congrats to you guys.
Pausing to read my previous entry, I predicted that things were slowing down for the summer. One thing you can bet on, almost any given prognostication is likely wrong. I've been wasting beautiful summer days trying to keep up at the office, despite my best efforts to the contrary. Meanwhile, a crew of guys showed up yesterday with a bobcat and began frantically tearing up my 3 week old lawn to make sidewalks and a patio. What was I thinking?
Anyway, I'm looking to checking out Colin and Heather's back yard August 1st, hope to see everyone there. Keep in touch!
